Facts About 1 Corinthians

1 Corinthians is also known as “Book of 1st Corinthians” or “First Epistle to the Corinthians” and it was written by the Apostle Paul around 56 A.D. It contains sixteen chapters.

A few years after Paul left the church in Corinth, he heard reports that quite disturbed him. Sin, immorality and confusion occurred among the people in the church — and they included sexual immorality, the improper use of spiritual gifts, and the opposing doctrines that had led to divisions and misunderstanding.

As Paul exposes the immorality, sins, and division among his people at the time, in his book he also tries to restore the very foundation of the Corinthian church which he himself had established — Jesus Christ.
