Facts About Malachi

Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament, written by the prophet Malachi (or Malachias) about 430 BC, during the post-exilic period. In this book, God calls upon Malachi to send His message to the Jews to turn back to God. Malachi wrote God’s words to the chosen people who had sinned, particularly the corrupt priests. The book also preaches against corruption as people weren’t tithing as they were obliged to. Despite their sins, Malachi restates God’s love and promise of the coming Savior.
