Fun Facts About 2 Kings

The 2 Kings is the second part of the Books of Kings. It is the continuation of the story between the two divided kingdoms, Israel and Judah. In this book, God sends his prophets who will deliver His message to these two warring nations. Israel and Judah refuse to obey God’s law and instead worship false, evil gods, and the dire consequences they face as a result of their evil actions. Although some kings, like Judah’s king Josiah, love and serve God that’s why He doesn’t punish Judah during Josiah’s lifetime. When the kings serve the real God, He rewards them; but if they worship false gods, He punishes them.

This book serves us a lesson that we must obey one God only and not serve false gods. That’s why we must listen to God’s words.
