The Book of Jeremiah is one of the longest books in the Old Testament. It mixes history, biography and prophecy. It was written by the prophet Jeremiah between 630 and 580 BC. It records Jeremiah’s prophesy during the last days of the kingdom of Judah where he calls out to the people to turn their way back to God. At the same time, Jeremiah acknowledges that Judah would inevitably fall into destruction because people do not repent from their sins.
