As said before, we don’t know what gopher wood is. Nor does it still exist, or it may not have ever really existed at all. Other versions such as English Standard Version, New American Standard Bible, Holman Christian Bible, etc., also mention “gopher wood.” Several other versions, on the other hand, mention “cypress” or “cedar” instead of gopher to build the ark.
