Amy Grant

Amy Grant (born in 1950) is one popular contemporary Christian artist. Her albums reached number one and spent a total of 329 cumulative weeks spent on the Billboard contemporary Christian chart. Among her best selling albums are Age to Age (85 weeks), Straight Ahead (61 weeks), Unguarded (36 weeks) and Lead Me On (36 weeks). She also holds the record for having the most number one albums with 16.

Sandi-Patty

Sandi Patty (born in 1957) is an American contemporary Christian singer. Her albums have accumulated 112 weeks at number one on the top Christian album charts. She has four number one albums, with Mornings Like This her best performing outing, having spent 69 weeks at number one.

Michael-W-Smith

Michael W. Smith (born in 1957) is probably the most popular male pop/contemporary Christian music artist. His albums spent a total of 86 weeks at the top chart position. Smith also has sixteen number one albums, as well.

Kirk Franklin

Kirk Franklin (born in 1970) is an American urban contemporary gospel singer whose albums accumulated a total of 79 weeks at number one on the top contemporary Christian album chart. He has six albums which have reached #1 so far.

Carman (born Carmelo Domenic Licciardello in 1956) is a contemporary Christian music artist and evangelist hailing from New Jersey. Six of his albums have accumulated a total of 64 weeks at number one on the Christian music album chart. His album Revival in the Land is the best-performing album so far, having spent a total of 34 weeks at that position.

Steven Curtis Chapman

So far, American contemporary Christian artist Steven Curtis Chapman (born in 1962) has achieved nine number one albums on the top contemporary Christian album chart. His top-performing albums have spent a total of 62 weeks on top of the charts.

Casting Crowns is one of the most popular contemporary Christian/Christian rock music groups. Six of their albums have topped the Christian music album chart, and have spent a total of 57 weeks in that spot.

P.O.D.

Christian metal rock band P.O.D. have sold 12 million records across the globe. They have six number one albums that have accumulated a total of of 54 weeks at number one.
